Warning...This Post Contains Graphic Content

Happy Birthday Pip!  Blaze got you this opossum.  I'm not much of a cook so I was hoping that Sasha could make it into something delicious for you!

Oh, you're wondering why we are inside?  Well it's certainly not because Blaze was rolling around on your birthday treat and obviously has NOTHING to do with any other dogs wanting to have this as our own.

My hat's off to Blaze for his first catch in our yard.  We had to get Mrs. Master up at 3:30 am and 6 am to hunt.  You can imagine how happy she was to be apart of all the action.

Love you Pip!

Juvie

Hey guys.  I'm writing from Juve right now.  Before you hear any rumors, I'd like to set the record straight.

Friday, Master got home from work and let me and Blaze out back.  He kept checking on us over and over.  I thought it meant he wanted to play jump the fence with me so I went ahead and jumped the fence into the neighbors yard.

I mean, Master was practically BEGGING me to play.

Master came RUNNING outside and then disappeared.  When he reappeared, I noticed that I could see him through the neighbor's house.  Their back garage door and their big garage door were open.

"OH!"  I thought to myself, "Master wants to play chase AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD!"

So, I took off.

Blah blah...the rest is history.  I met up with some dog friends a few blocks down (I'd lost Master MILES back) and their humans called Master.
Unfortunately, it was AFTER Master had already called Mrs. Master and told her to COME HOME RIGHT NOW!

What he didn't tell her is that it was all his idea.

Now, I'm trying to dig out of here.

SOS,

Nora B. Webster

PS.  Blaze is with me so I'm not lonely.

I'm going to be doing this for awhile guys so you can just come back on Monday.

Here are some photos of me before I was in really really big trouble.

Miss you,

Back to School -- Foster Training 101

Ahem:  Class is now in session.  Let me call roll.  Cotton, Molly, Puddles, Puddles...ANYONE?!?  PUDDLES!?!, Frankie, Ernie, Milo, Dixie, Newby, Casey, Zim, Dave, Madi, Teddy, Dougall, Chip, Tasha, Anna Rose, Mona, Weenie....any stragglers who didn't enroll in time?

A good teacher always leads by example.  In each of the following demonstrations I have for you, the most important thing to remember is that if you lead, they will follow.  God it?

Section I.  Wrestling
The best way to teach a foster to wrestle is just to pounce and pounce them until they finally wrestle.

Once they finally engage in play, it's time to demonstrate correct posture.  Keep your tail up so they know it's just play and you're not actually mad.

Now, remember to let them win the first few times so they learn to like wrestling.  After that, winning is your MAIN GOAL!
 Section II:  Pests

Obviously, the most important job for any human companion is to keep pests away from the humans.  Even if they are nasty sankes, you need to show NO FEAR.

Section III:  Helping Around the House

A good dog helps with everything from sewing to making the bed.  You need to show your foster that they should be in the middle of all the action no matter what is happening.

 Section IV:  Digging

When you start your hole, dig with all your might and show your foster how much fun it is to dig!

Once they've experience the joy, stand back and give them pointers.  If they master it, your job is done and you can go onto another task.
Section V:  Becoming the Master

Obviously, the most important job of any pup or cat is to BE THE MASTER.  This means to get as high as possible and be really really tall.  See how Everest learned how to walk around the patio so he was tall like a human?

That's how it's done pups and cats.

When training your own foster, please feel free to add any other tasks you deem important.  Obviously, it is impossible to detail all of the very important tasks we do in just one lesson.  It is a major if not a PhD topic.

Good luck to you all,

Nora B. Webster

Patience

Some dogs are patient.

Others are not.

If you'd like a patient dog, contact Taysia Blue.

Better do it fast before I decide to keep him for my very own brother.

Don't Be Silly on My Bus

Here's our syllabus for Foster Training:

Section I:  Wrestling

Section II:

Section III:  Digging

Section IV:  Helping Around the House

Section V:  Becoming the Master

All you need to attend my class is a foster brother or sister.  If you don't have one, you can contact Taysia Blue as I'm sure they'll let you foster or you can use your human as your foster.  Humans are always in need of training.

You can sign up to attend class by commenting.  There are a bunch of other classes but I'm not a tenured professor here so I have no reason to do non lazy things like list the class schedule with links.  You can look at Frankie's page for more details.

Sign up or else,

I WON! I WON!

 Hey guys!

Did you miss me?

We did a lot of "mark all as read" these last few days.

Do you see these cool presents I won from Ruby?

Blaze really liked the squeeky thing.  I mean, he liked it SO SO MUCH!

He may be obsessed with it.

Mrs. Master apologizes for the bad pics.  Apparently, it's difficult to take photos of dogs and prizes.

Who knew?

Hiding the squeeky,
