Now, just because we've given her a middle name doesn't mean she's sticking around.
I'm walking real careful here b/c she really hates me and I'm afraid of her.
Nellie was used for breeding before she escaped (or was dumped) and ran free for somewhere around 30 days.
She's timid and it takes a long time to build her trust.
Unfortunately, she still doesn't trust me.
She really loves snuggling though so you know who loves her.
It's such a shame that such a sweet, beautiful girl is fearful of sudden movements and nice dogs like me.
Not even intimidating at all,
Nora B. Webster
With love and patience, I know you and your family can win her over! Honestly, who wouldn't love YOU?!
ReplyDeleteShe seems so nice from her photos. Maybe she just needs some time to get to know how sweet you are, Nora. Hugs to both of you and have a good weekend. Hope you got some rain from all those storms this morning, still not a drop here.

She'll come around - I just KNOW it! It is very sad that she's afraid of you. I'm sure it's just all so new to her. You'll win her over, Nora!!!

I know that you will be patient with her Nora and that she WILL come around. She is lucky to have you.. even though she doesn't think so right now.
ReplyDeleteNora..you keep being your sweet loving self...Nellie Sue will come around. No telling what kind of experiences she had. You and your family are the purrfect place for her right now.

Oh how sad Nora but hang on in there she will learn to be more trusting as time goes on. Have a lovely Friday. PS started reading the book.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Nora - we still have NO RAIN! Crazy, isn't it? Our dad is golfing at Ft. Leavenworth today and it looks like they have some. Maybe he'll bring some home for us!
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Dave
Nora, just wait ~ I know with some time she will love and trust you. Unless she finds her furever home real soon. You are such a sweetheart, she can't help but warm up to you!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby

Nora,
ReplyDeleteSounds like Miss Nellie needs a boost to her self confidence... Tell her that Sam and Pippen think she's HAWT! That'll work wonders!
Sam and Pippen!
I was abandoned when I was 3 or 4 years old and the shelter thinks I was probably used for breeding. I was just like Nellie - scared of just about everything and everyone! It took me a long time, but I finally learned to trust and I am sure she will, too.
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Nora, you are such a sweety that I bet Nellie Sue will sense that very soon and be your pal. I was abandoned also and I was kind of mean when I first came here cause I didn't trust anyone, but with lots of loving I am a happy girl now. You are a very good example and I hope Nellie comes around soon for you.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Somestimes it takes a very long time to win over somepup who has so much to forget. We know because some of us here took a while to adapt.
ReplyDeleteMom still wonders what happened to me in my early days so we SO understand!
ReplyDeleteGo Nellie Sue Go!
