Words on Wednesday

 He's coming back today.
And that's ok with me.  He's real handsome and striped.

Any of you pups out there know why the two dogs who had lived outside both have stripes?  Is it an extra thick undercoat thing?
Jasper is a pretty good walking buddy so he can stick around until the MOST PERFECT family comes along for him.

It's really much more difficult to take walking pics than it seems.  We're not sure how Army of Four does it.

Anywoo...if you'd like a nice striped husky, go to www.taysiablue.com and fill out an application.

Ready to play,

Jasper the Friendly Dog

There was a lot that happened this weekend.  Mrs. Master dropped Avalanche off for the transport to Omaha.  She (Mrs. Master) was nervous until I reminded her that Kyra's mom transports dogs all the time and I was sure that the drivers would be really nice and safe.  (Remember, humans are crazy and need us to keep them sane)

Avalanche will stay in Omaha until Saturday when she gets to meet with a forever family.  There's no doubt that they'll love her!

In the midst of all this chaos, I had to keep an eye on the floor progress  This is me conducting an inspection.

Hey Puddles, these are recycled wine corks.  Did you donate some of these or are you just a beer girl?

Mrs. Master swapped Avalanche for this guy.  His name is Jasper and he stayed with us until today. He'll be going to Columbia, MO to meet with a forever family.  Paws crossed =).

Resting up for next weekend,

Bad Photography

Excuse the fact that Mrs. Master can barely handle a camera let alone know how to get colors to look right.  If you look really closely and use your imagination, you can see that we've painted the bathroom the lightest of mint colors.  The whole thing is looking VERY WHITE and LIGHT.

Also, WHO puts white grout in a shower anyway?  CRAZY PEOPLE...that's who.

It would appear that a white dog may be influencing choices around here.

Or maybe all that pink just drove them completely insane.

We've received word that Avalanche may only be here a few more days.  We're probably going to get one of Everest's (now Luka) buds from the pen (I mean literally...he was just kept in a pen before).

Keeping you posted on all the news,

Nora B. Webster

Almost Wordless Wednesday -- Occupy

Hey Frankie,

Is this what you had in mind for occupying your toys?

This is our best toy so we though we'd show her off.

Demon eyes,

Nora B. Webster

Snoopervision

The tile guy came yesterday.  He was so good at his job, he didn't even need me there.
Avalanche was pretty comfortable with him as well.

I'm never wrong about these things.

In other news...Did you guys see this?

I'm wondering if Mollie Jo got a nice dinner out after her win in the Mango Minster.

Here We Go

This was on Friday morning.  IT all looks a whole lot different even now, but *someone* didn't take photos because they are lazy too tired to think about such things.
I kept an eye on all of my workers the whole way through.  You might call me a micro manager.
Here's where Avalanche was the entire time.  It's possible we have different managerial styles.

If you don't already "Like" Taysia Blue on Facebook, you should.  You can click here to see it and read about the FOUR adoptions that happened this weekend.

We're sure they're tired too!

Snoozing away,

So Long

It's time to say goodbye to the pink bathroom.  As the project manager for all home renovations, I'll be busy supervising all the work going on.  This may mean an absence from blogging until next week sometime.

I've really got to keep an eye on Mrs. Master.  Between Avalanche blowing her coat, this bathroom project, a baby shower this weekend, *someone's* muddy paws and the disappearing grass out back, she's losing her mind.  Three times this week she's found her cell phone in the fridge.  It's time to call the Dr.
Excuse the disgusting tub.  This was on move in day and it got a through cleaning.

If I have time, I'll keep you updated on all the work I'll be doing.

Also, if we get any word on Avalanche or a new home we'll let you know.  In case you get a hankerin to get your own dog, go to www.taysiablue.com.  There are a bunch of really good ones there!

Time to get my sledge hammer,

Nora B. Webster

PS.  I wrote this last night BEFORE Master got the stomach flu.  Say some prayers for me.  I've got a lot of nursing and demoing to do.

Valentines Dance

Soooooo....who wants to dance?   I'm obviously the prettiest, but Avalanche is really rocking that head piece.

We'll be over here just waiting for all you fellows to come ask us to dance.

Oh, Mrs. Master wants you to know that she gave us special Valentines names today.  I am Sweetie Peetie and Avalanche is Lovey Dovey (this is so embarrassing).

Happy Valentines Day Everydog!

xoxo,

Sweetie Peetie and Lovey Dovey

PS.  This is my great uncle Murphy.  He sent us this card.  Isn't he a sweetie?

PPS.  We are standing with K in Pillars of Strength.  We hate C and we hate all sad things so we're praying for you K.  Stay strong.

Guess Who?

As you can see, someone is still hanging around.

Those of you working with rescue know that things fall through and blah blah.  So, yeah, that's what happened.
And it's a good thing because then I wouldn't have anyone around from whom to steal toys to go to the Valentine's dance with me.
So, camera hog she may be, I guess I'm going to the dance with my foster sister, Avalanche.

Do you think I should do something different with my eye makeup?

Prepping and Primping,

Nora B. Webster

PS.  A big thanks to Frankie for explaining all this Valentines dance stuff to Avalanche.  She doesn't know much.

PPS.  Guess what we finally got????

Brown Eyed Girl

Someone is interested in my very favorite foster Avalanche.
It's hard, but we know that if we're going to help Taysia Blue reach their goal of saving 100 huskies this year that we can't keep any of our fosters.
But she is the sweetest thing.  Sometimes, you can find us licking scraps off the same plate (Master and Mrs. Master are very generous...judge if you want, we love it).
We're not sure how much longer we'll have her so we're just enjoying every second we have.

Sad and happy at the same time,

Nora B. Webster

Play Time

"Hey Avalanche, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Yup!"
"On guard!"
"Let's dance."
"Gotcha!"

Sorry for the late post everyone.  Mrs. Master took a sick day so we've been too busy taking care of her to get the blog up.  Fortunately, she's feeling better (I told you pets are good medicine).

Have a playful day,

Nora B. Webster

Wordless Wednesday -- Opposites Attract

Top Ten

 1.    Describe yourself in seven words?
Nora B.:  Fast, Stubborn, Huntress, Naughty, Outgoing, Awesome, Fabulous ( could go on and on)
Avalanche:  Friendly, Outgoing, Beautiful, Snuggly, Pleaser,  Smart, Kissey
   2.    What keeps you up at night?
Nora B.:  When I decide to move from my chair to my bed and there's some foster dog sleeping on MY BED!
     Avalanche:  Up?  Night?  What?  zzzzZZZZZzzzz

  3.    Who would you like to be?
Nora B.:  Master.  He gets to eat all the bacon he wants
Avalanche:  Anyone with a forever home

4.  What are you wearing right now?

Nora B.:  What an insult.  I have a gorgeous fur coat.  Of course I'm wearing it.

Avalanche:  White fur.  I'm beautiful.

5.       What scares me?
Nora B.:  The furminator!  Have you seen that comb of death?
Avalanche:  That loud sucking machine on the floor.  *shudder*

6. The best and worst of blogging
Nora B. :  Best - all my new friends  Worst - Nothing so far
Avalanche:  What's a blog?

7.       The last website I visited?
Nora B.:  My butcher shop.  Need to order more bones.
Avalanche:  Taysia Blue.  They'll have me on there soon!

  8.       What is the one thing I would change about myself?
Nora B.:  We'd go back to that raw meat diet.  This dry food is for the birds.
Avalanche:  I know this is repetitive, but I'd like my OWN family.  Nora doesn't share very well.

  9.       Slankets yes or no?
Nora B.:  If you are referring to the blanket known as my FUR COAT then yes.  As for other coverings, no thanks.
Avalanche:  I create enough heat that even the humans don't need blankets!

   10.     Tell us something about the person that tagged you.
Nora B.:  I love Puddles.  We both have embarrassing middle names.
Avalanche:  Tagged?  Are we playing tag?  I LOVE TO RUN AND PLAY!!!

Please excuse our lack of tagging.  We had some sleeping problems last night so this is as good as it gets folks.

Glad I can just sleep all day,

Run For Your Life!

"RUN!!!! RUN!!! There's an Avalanche coming!"
Hehe.  Just kidding.  It's just my new foster sister--Avalanche.  She's my same age (around 2 years old) and she loves to play.

She also sits, comes when she's called (I'm teaching her that's not always the best idea) and has excellent house manners.

As you may have guessed, I'm rooting for Webster Manor to become her forever home her to find a great home with another dog so she can play and play.

She is bright white with brown eyes. So pretty!

You know the drill, if you're looking for a practically perfect dog, contact Taysia Blue.

Happy as can be,

Public Service Announcement

Did you know that when your human gives you scratches, their bodies release:

Serotonin:  fights depression
Oxytocin:  bonding hormone
Endorphins:  feeling of well being

The best way to get your human to give you scratches is to only offer snuggles while they're scratching.  When it stops, go all the way across the room to lay down--by yourself.

They'll reduce their stress and you'll both be happy!  You can read more here.

Nora 2

This is my first foster brother, McJagger.  He was only with us for seven days before he went to his forever family.  (Taysia Blue is good at that, huh?)

He was practically perfect in every way (name that book/movie).

I wish you all could have been there the day Mrs. Master was home alone with us and he jumped the back fence.  She jumped the fence and that's when I realized I could jump the fence too!
We had a really great time playing chase with Mrs. Master in the neighbor's yard. The best part was when she caught us both but couldn't figure out how to get us over the fence at the same time!  Haroo!

All the fun ended when Master got home and put up a bunch of extra fence.

Always having good time,

Nora B. Webster
